A few months ago, with pride and wonder, I came across a multi-page article in a prestigious French magazine whose title captivated me: «POURIA MARZBAN, au-delà du réel» – Pouriya Marzban, Beyond Reality. With a precise and profound pen, the author spoke of the world of my studio in Tehran—a world where luminous forms float in the void, colors shift with the movement of the viewer’s head, and time loses its meaning. Reading these words was a moment of deep reflection—a confirmation that my “Holographic World” series has begun to attract meaningful attention.
In the article, I am called a “source of inspiration” (une source d’inspiration) and placed alongside great names. The writer beautifully highlights my enduring concerns—creation, humanism, and the holographic universe theory—emphasizing that I not only raise these profound philosophical questions but transform them into a visual and sensory experience; an experience that invites the viewer to explore the hidden layers of reality. The precise description of interference pigments, masterful oil paint layering, and my efforts to depict timelessness and spacelessness reveals that the author has not only seen my works but has deeply felt them.
Seeing my name in such a respected publication, treated with this depth and reverence, was a sweet reminder that art is no longer confined by geographical borders. I have always strived to speak in a universal language—one nourished by quantum physics, Eastern mysticism, and modern aesthetics—and ultimately to pose that fundamental question: “In which layer of reality do we live?”
For me, this article is more than a review; it is an affirmation and an invitation—to continue along this path, to create more worlds, and to share this experience with you. If you have not yet seen the works of the “Holographic World” series up close, I hope this French piece, like the motivation it gave me, serves as an incentive for you to take a step toward this realm beyond reality.
With gratitude,
Pourya Marzban
